Home / Studio

Built by people who got tired of the handoff.

Printwave started in 2017 when a marketer and two engineers realized their best work happened in the same room, not passed between agencies. Nine years later, that's still the whole model.

The problem we exist to fix.

Most companies hire a marketing agency, a web development shop, and a separate app studio — three vendors, three timelines, three invoices, and a launch date that slips every time one of them is waiting on the other two. Nobody owns the whole customer experience, so nobody is fully accountable for it.

Printwave is one team that plans, designs, builds and promotes the product end to end. When the campaign references a feature, that feature already shipped. When the app updates, the app store listing and the ad creative update with it. It's slower to staff this way and faster to launch this way — we've made the trade on purpose.

What we actually believe.

Four working principles that show up in every proposal we write.

01

Ship in weeks, not quarters

A slower launch is a more expensive launch. We scope for the smallest version that proves the idea, then iterate in public.

02

Marketing and product are one job

The team that builds your app also plans how people find it. That's not a nice-to-have, it's the whole reason Printwave exists.

03

Numbers over opinions

We'll disagree with your instinct if the data disagrees with it too — and show our work either way.

04

You should be able to leave

Documentation, clean handoffs and no proprietary lock-in. Good work keeps clients longer than a hard exit clause does.

Nine years, in short.

The moments that changed how we work.

2017

Three people, one client

Founded in a Brooklyn co-working space by a growth marketer and two engineers, working nights on a single restaurant client's website and ad account.

2019

First mobile build

Took on our first app project — a loyalty app for a regional retail chain — and hired our first dedicated mobile engineer.

2021

Remote-first, twelve people

Moved to a distributed team across five time zones, and opened up retainer engagements alongside fixed-scope projects.

2023

100th product shipped

Crossed one hundred shipped websites, apps and campaigns, and opened a second studio pod focused entirely on healthcare and civic clients.

2026

Twenty-two people, one signal

Still one team, still no separate "marketing department" or "dev department" — just people who sit on the same projects from strategy to launch.

Who you'd actually work with.

A few of the people leading client work day to day.
